Underground, where it’s dark and moist there are a bunch of slippery, slimy creatures that churn and chew their way through all of our waste organic matter. They call them the ‘intestines of the Earth’ – they also call them earthworms! Here’s a little tune from one of them called Bill to tell you what life’s like for a worm.
lyrics
Remember me, Earthworm Bill?
I ate your lunch when you’d had your fill
And put it back in the ground, that is my skill
To help your garden grow
Mmm, hey, Earthworm Bill, Earthworm Bill
Remember me when you have a spill
Earthworm Bill, Earthworm Bill
I help your garden grow
Just keep me damp and keep me cool
Leave me in the dark with your scraps for fuel
And I will be the sharpest tool
To help your garden grow
Yeah, I’m Earthworm Bill, hey! Earthworm Bill
I eat all day while I dig and till
Earthworm Bill, Earthworm Bill
I help your garden grow
I have five hearts, so I got all the love
But I keep it down underground, not above
Playing games of push and shove
To Help your garden grow
I’m Earthworm Bill, hey! Earthworm Bill
Helping the soil really gives me a thrill
Earthworm Bill, that’s me! Earthworm Bill
I help your garden grow
Yeah I help your garden grow
Ooh, I help your garden grow
